Accessible website for ENA Energi

For over 50 years, municipally owned ENA Energi has been providing district heating to the municipality of Enkoping. Today, nearly 100% of their district heating supply comes from renewable biofuels. When ENA Energi sought a new website, we won the bid. The expectations were clear: a new, modern, and flexible website following WCAG accessibility standards and designed based on their new visual identity.

Challenge

ENA Energi's existing website was perceived as outdated, difficult to navigate, and lacked essential information. Moreover, the site did not meet accessibility requirements set by authorities. Our challenge was to bridge the gap between the current website and their vision for a modern and user-friendly digital platform.

Solution

We chose to build the new website on a .NET-based open-source CMS, a flexible platform allowing us to maximize creativity while minimizing constraints, costs, and licensing conditions. The result is a modern and accessible website conveying evident customer information and tailored communication.

We optimized the website by tailoring relevant information to visitors, whether individuals or businesses.

During the process, we were entrusted with rewriting all content for the new website. By finding the right tone, we delivered clear communication reflecting ENA Energi's forward-looking vision.

The website is visually appealing, evident, and accessible to all visitors.

With news blocks, ENA Energi can convey current information on both the Private and Business sections. The news is then archived, allowing users to read older updates.

Unexpected events occur. ENA Energi wanted swift and clear customer information during temporary interruptions. The red "1" is prominently displayed in the main menu during a district heating outage. With a click, users can easily see the location of the outage, its expected duration, and the number of affected customers.
