Challenge

Lindex are constantly looking for new ways to improve customer service and experience. That’s why they decided to develop an app aimed at creating a seamless experience between customer’s physical and digital presence.

Assignment

Our assignment was to help Lindex create a new mobile application for Android and iOS. Lindex needed to bring in external expertise in app development to strengthen its internal team. Thanks to its extensive app development experience, byBrick Interface was brought in as an extra resource. In this project, byBrick Interface was responsible for developing the user interface while also contributing to the technical specification.
Lindex requested a development process that continuously gathered customer feedback to maximize the quality of the product.

“By adding a feedback feature in our app, we received a lot of comments and proposals from customers – mostly positive. We’ll take the comments into consideration when developing version two,”
says Linda Johansson, digital business developer at Lindex.

Solution

The app was developed as a complement to Lindex’s website to improve customer experience. Now customers can shop directly in their mobile phones, take part of special offers, collect bonuses and view ordering status. It is also possible to scan a garment tag in a store and receive information about manufacturing, materials and washing as well as find out what other stores keep the garment in stock.
To create a seamless experience between the physical and digital world, it was important that the customer could have the same shopping cart regardless of channel. They can save their shopping list at the web shop, add products in the app and finally go to a physical store to gather and pay for the products.

Lindex är en modekedja med cirka 5000 anställda, cirka 480 butiker på 18 marknader i Norden, Baltikum, Centraleuropa, Balkan och Mellanöstern. Förutom försäljning i butik säljer Lindex även mode via sin Shop Online i 28 länder. Sortimentet omfattar flera olika koncept inom dammode, underkläder, barnkläder och kosmetik.
