The State Property Agency (Statens Fastighetsverk, SFV), manages real estate, buildings, land and embassies belonging to the Swedish state. SFV manages approximately 2,300 properties with approximately 3,000 buildings in Sweden and 6.4 million hectares of land, which is one-fifth of Sweden's surface. Manages also Swedish embassies, residences and institutes in some 60 countries. Responsibility for the country's more than 300 state-of-the-art buildings is divided between SFV, Fortifikationsverket and the Swedish Maritime Administration.
Statens Fastighetsverk implemented changes in its financial and real estate systems. In connection with this, it was decided to also take control of their systems integration, previously uncategorized, poorly developed and difficult to maintain.
The decision was to introduce Microsoft BizTalk Server as an integration platform. In the first phase, focus was on implementing and integrating the Agresso financial system and Fast2 property system with existing systems in the business. In the second phase of the project, integrations were developed between existing systems in the platform.
Today, SFV uses Microsoft BizTalk Server to develop and maintain loosely coupled integrations between internal and external system solutions. Communication between systems is managed through built-in adapters such as WCF, file transfer, SQL Server, Oracle and FTP. The loosely linked integrations handle all types of formats, transformations, processes and data aggregations. The integration platform has been implemented with management of business rules and activity monitoring to support staff in the business.
byBrick has also been entrusted the responsibility of managing and maintaining the platform.
